Hi Suburbanstylista readers, I am Alicia from Fashion By Alicia.  Kelly asked me to do a guest post for her blog and I am thrilled to be doing a post about business casual fashion.
I have always struggled with business casual and thought this would be the perfect topic for a guest post.  Business attire can be difficult because if you are like me you like to go with the same looks.  But you don’t want to look the same day in and day out in the office.  These simple tips will help you become the best dressed in your office.
Neutral colors are our friends with business casual attire.  Neutrals such as black, beige, navy, or grey can be used interchangeably.  This means you can get more wear from each item by mixing tops or bottoms.  I am going to show you different looks by mixing neutrals.
Business Casual Look #1

First let’s start with black pants.  You can find black pants anywhere and they are the perfect neutral item.  I have styled these black pants three different ways.
The first look is your classic business casual look white blouse $31.50, black high waisted trousers $41.
The second look uses the same black trousers and pairs it with a red cardigan $23, black skinny belt $9, and red pumps $26.
The last look with the black pants is paired with a cobalt tie blouse $35, and the same black pumps for $41.
Now let me show you a few other outfit choices with these same tops.
Untitled #149

The first look in this set pairs the blue blouse with a grey pencil skirt $15 and the same black pumps.
The second look pairs the red cardigan with a black pencil skirt $28 and the red pumps.
The last look pairs the white blouse, grey trousers $15, black skinny belt, and black pumps.
By purchasing three tops and three different bottoms, I have created six looks, but your options are endless.
Another great trip for business casual is dresses.  Dresses can be paired with cardigans, jackets, and even tights to change a look.  Here are a few options for work appropriate dresses.
Business Casual Dresses

I have selected three dresses to create different outfits from a double frill dress $94, navy ruched waist dress $47, and a red belted dress $47.

I am going to create three different looks for the double frill dress.
Business Casual Set II
The first look is simple pair the double frill dress with nude pumps $50.

The second look pairs the double frill dress with a black blazer $31 and the black pumps from above.
The last look pairs the double frill dress with a camel cardigan $44 and the nude pumps.
You can create similar looks with the other dresses as well.  These are just a few tips for business casual. Remember to wear looks that are appropriate for your office and you are comfortable wearing.  I hope these tips help and feel free to check out my blog, Fashion By Alicia.
