True or False? Eucerin Sets it Straight & Provides a Sweet, Summer Prize…

POP QUIZ! Why not? It’s “back to school” time. And BTW, where did the summer go? Another one down. Hope yours was fab. Hope you remembered everything you need to know about keeping you and your skin healthy and happy during the past few months. Eucerin wants to be sure that my readers are ready to be tested on a few important tips . . .Students, this will be a TRUE or FALSE quiz. Pencils sharpened? Great. Good Luck!

“Drink more wine.” “Eat less chocolate.” “Put toothpaste on pimples.” “Boost intake of leafy greens.” We’ve heard it all –skin ‘tips and tricks’ from friends, mothers and colleagues.  This month, Eucerin will help make matters a little less confusing  by ‘debunking’ some persistent beauty myths. Here are some favorites:

Anti-wrinkle creams erase wrinkles

Not necessarily, but they do help minimize the appearance of them.   Prevention is key, so apply a broad spectrum SPF daily.

Washing your face with hot water opens up your pores

NO. Steam from hot water can help soften the skin to remove hardened dirt and oils, but hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils.  Opt for luke-warm water and moisturize after cleansing.

Laying out poolside is the best way to get your daily intake of Vitamin D

Please don’t!  Talk to your doctor about supplements or adding Vitamin D enriched foods to your diet instead of exposing your skin to harmful rays.

It’s all about genetics

While genetics do play a part in your complexion, how your skin ages is dependent on variables like diet, sun exposure and whether or not you smoke.

When you forget soap on your summer wakeboarding adventure, you’re out of luck and have to abort your mission

Not when you keep your Eucerin with you at all times! It gave my son the help he needed to get his feet all slippery and in the boots and get to ‘boarding. (I had to throw that in, because I was so excited Eucerin and I could help him out!)

Eucerin to the rescue!

Great job class! I’m sure you all passed with flying colors. If not, remember: “Mistakes make learning.” On that note, Eucerin wants to reward all of my stylish and skincare-savvy students with a chance to win another amazing Eucerin Skincare Prize Pack! My Skin Care Myth Was ” Sunscreen Is Not Needed On A Cloudy Day!” I Was So Wrong, A Few Years Ago I Traveled To Ecuador, It Was A Rainy, Cloudy Season There. I Never Once Thought About Sunscreen. I Went Sightseeing On A Very Cloudy Day, Returned With Beet Red Skin And A Few Blisters! I Learned My Lesson And Busted The Myth Of ” No Sunscreen Needed On Cloudy Days! I Now Wear Sunscreen Daily!

I use the daily moisturizer with SPF on my face every morning. Is there a Eucerin product I can use at night to keep up the fight against wrinkles while I sleep?

I love Eucerin and there was a skincare myth that creams don’t cure dryness but Eucerin changed all that and the day i started using Eucerin i was all in belief that it does cure Dryness and my Skin was so soft and subtle i couldn’t live without using it once a day. now its my daily beauty regime that i always apply Eucerin Professional Repair Extremely Dry Skin Lotion before going anywhere in the world.

I was always told that laying out in the sun would give me all the Vitamin D that I needed, but I now know this isn’t true.

Preparation H under the eyes, myth, it didn’t work for me. All it did was make my face smell like hemorrhoid cream.

I believed the hype on those pore strips until I went to see a professional skin care representative and they told me that all they do is rip off layers of your skin (while taking a few blackheads with them). I learned that good exfoliation and then proper hydration will keep blackheads at bay!

My skin care myth was about washing face with hot water. Thank you for telling me about lukewarm water and steam instead! Please enter me @snowwright

I use to think that washing face in hot water was a good thing. However, I’ve learned that I should wash my face using cold water.

Myth: Expensive, name brand skin care products are most effective.

False. Regardless of name brand and cost, as long as my skin does not react negatively to the product and it is effective, that is what I will continue to use.

When I was in middle school, my best friend told me that toothpaste made pimples disappear. I tried it one night and it just burned my skin!

I’ve used the daily moisturizer ever day this summer; love it!
Does Eucerin have a product I should use at night to keep protecting my skin?

Skincare myth experience. I thought oil was bad for my skin, but its not. Its more important what I put in my body than on my body. Stay hydrated my friend.

The myth that toothpaste helps with acne – eh not so true. I tried it and my face didn’t clear up any faster than if I’d applied nothing.

Hi! I have super curly hair, and when I was younger I was always told not to get it wet! So I didn’t wash it that often. Gross, right?
