Hot Days, Harmful Rays & a COOL Giveaway from Eucerin!

It's JUNE!

Better late than never for a cool giveaway from Eucerin to welcome the warm weather! So now a few words from the always amazing folks at Eucerin who are eager to help you stay safe and protected from those naughty summer-rays:

With the school year coming to an end, it’s time to start planning some summer adventures for you and the kids!  Summer typically means time at the beach and fun in the sun but it’s also a very important time to stay on top of protecting skin. Sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and in some cases, even lead to skin cancer, so it’s important to manage your sun exposure on a daily basis. Of course, Eucerin can help keep your skin protected and limit sun damage from UVA and UVB rays.

Enough about the scary stuff. How about thinking-up some fun activities to get the summer started in a (safe) and oh-so-fun way? Here’s a check-list (and tips) to help you plan:

  • Invite neighborhood kids (or friends) over!
  • Provide a couple of healthy, nutrient-rich snacks.  If you’re feeling adventurous, we love this Watermelon + Feta recipe!
  • Take photos! Whether the kids are playing hopscotch or camping out in the backyard, these are memories you won’t want to forget.
  • Wear sunglasses to help protect eyes and sensitive skin around them from UV rays.
  • Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before you head outside.  Don’t forget places like the tops of your ears, nose, eyelids, back, hands, feet and shoulders! Eucerin Daily Protection Lotions are lightweight SPF moisturizers that provide head-to-toe sun protection. SPF 15 Body Lotion helps protect against daily UV exposure while SPF 30 Face Lotion moisturizes and protects with UVA/UVB sunscreens.
  • Enjoy! Sit back and relax with your children or friends.

Family Fun!

Think it can’t get any better? Think again. Eucerin wants to give one lucky Suburbanstylista reader the chance to win an awesome June Skin First Prize Pack that can MORE than help kick off your summer fun!

Now get to readin’ to see how you can win . . .

  • Next, shoot me a comment below telling me your favorite summer activity along with a skincare tip that helps you and your family stay safe in the summer sun.

The winner of the June Eucerin Giveaway will be chosen at random. Must be a resident of the US and 18 years or older to enter. CONTEST ENDS July 15, 2013. This giveaway was made possible by Eucerin. Thanks for participating and thanks for reading Suburbanstylista.  Good Luck and xo.

We like camping and hiking during the summer, and make sure we wear our sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, while out in the direct sun. And lots of water 🙂

We enjoy fishing during the summer and learned that it’s great to wear big brimmed hats to protect our face and sunglasses for the eyes and usually bring along a cooler of bottled water for the kids

My family loves to do anything in water in the summer. Having kids helps keep me on track with reapplying sunscreen frequently. Knock on wood… my kids have never had a sunburn. We try to plan activities for the cooler parts of our Texas summer days. And we take water bottles and snacks along with us.

I like Suburban Stylista on Facebook.

I don’t just “like” Eucerin on Facebook – I LOVE them! They keep my super sensitive skin safe from the sun’s rays and I can’t thank them enough. I can’t use the SPF ingredients found in most moisturizers. Eucerin is one of the few natural, affordable SPF moisturizers out there.

We like to go to theme parks during summer break. To stay skin safe, I dress the kids in long-sleeve shirts made of a thin, moisture-wicking material so that they stay cool while being protected!
